Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how NORDST ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit, interact with, or make a purchase from nordstdk.com (the "Site").
Personal Information We Collect
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies installed on your device. As you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages you view, what websites or search terms referred you, and how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as "Device Information."
When you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase, we collect information including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this as "Order Information."
When you sign up to our newsletter, contact us, or request a consultation, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, and any details relevant to your enquiry.
We collect Device Information using cookies, log files, web beacons, tags, and pixels.
How We Use Your Personal Information
We use the Order Information we collect to fulfil orders, process payments, arrange shipping, provide invoices and order confirmations, communicate with you, screen for potential risk or fraud, and (when in line with your preferences) provide you with information or advertising relating to our products.
We use Device Information to help us screen for risk and fraud, improve and optimize our Site, and to deliver targeted advertising and marketing communications.
Sharing Your Personal Information
We share your personal information with third parties to help us use it as described above. This includes:
Shopify, which powers our online store. Payment processors who handle your payment information. Shipping and logistics providers who deliver your order. Marketing and analytics providers, including Google (Analytics, Ads, Merchant Center), Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Pinterest, and Klaviyo, to help us understand site usage and reach relevant audiences. Accounting providers (such as Xero) for invoicing and bookkeeping.
We may also share your personal information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
Behavioural Advertising
As described in this Privacy Policy, we collect personal information from your interactions with us and our website, including through cookies and similar technologies. We may also share this personal information with third parties, including advertising partners. We do this in order to show you ads on other websites that are more relevant to your interests and for other reasons outlined in this policy.
Sharing of personal information for targeted advertising based on your interaction on different websites may be considered "sales", "sharing", or "targeted advertising" under certain U.S. state privacy laws. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of these activities.
If you visit our website with the Global Privacy Control opt-out preference signal enabled, depending on where you are, we will treat this as a request to opt out of activity that may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information or other uses that may be considered targeted advertising for the device and browser you used to visit our website.
Your Rights
If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you, to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or erased, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident or live in another U.S. state with similar privacy legislation, you have rights including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain sharing of your personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the address below.
Data Retention
When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information. Marketing data is retained while you remain a subscriber and for a reasonable period after, unless you request earlier deletion.
Third-Party APIs and Platform Data
To operate our store and marketing, we connect to several third-party platforms via their official APIs. These integrations are used solely for our own business purposes (advertising, analytics, social content, and order operations) and are not public-facing tools.
We use the Pinterest API to manage our own advertising account and content on Pinterest. Our website and app are not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Pinterest, Inc. We do not collect, store, resell, or redistribute Pinterest content or Pinterest-derived data to any third party. If we disconnect from the Pinterest API or our access is revoked, any Pinterest-derived data held in our internal systems is deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, billing and invoice records kept under Danish accounting law).
Other APIs we connect to
We also use the official APIs of the following platforms strictly for the operation of our own business accounts:
Meta (Facebook and Instagram) for our ad account and catalog, Google (Ads, Merchant Center, Analytics) for our campaigns and reporting, Klaviyo for our email and SMS marketing to our own subscribers, Shopify for our store operations, and accounting integrations (such as Xero) for invoice and billing synchronization.
For each of these integrations, the same principles apply: we access only data belonging to our own business accounts, we do not resell or redistribute platform data to third parties, and any platform-derived data is deleted from our internal systems within 30 days of disconnection, except where longer retention is legally required.
The opt-out rights described in the Behavioural Advertising section above continue to apply regardless of which third-party platforms we use.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised.
